We are looking for team-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, capable of following detailed directions, while demonstrating forethought and initiative to maintain a positive work environment and willing to assist other team members as needed.
We are currently hiring full time Packaging Associates for both day and swing shift.
PACKAGING ASSOCIATE (Temporary)
The role of a temporary packaging technician is to take various materials and package and label them into a final product form quickly and efficiently. Incumbent is required to have manual dexterity and accuracy and speed in weighing, measuring and counting the products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares child proof packaging material
- Applies batch labels to product
- Works in a team of packagers to maintain productivity
- Assigns package tags to all finished product
- Fills cartridges and syringes
- Takes inventory of all packages; organizes efficiently and effectively
- Responsible for cleaning, organizing, and sanitizing workstations
- Cleans/Inspects cartridges for defects and maintain accurate records
- Be able to maintain a speed of packaging while keeping quality and sanitation in mind
- Other duties assigned by management
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the department as needed an/or requested by their direct supervisor; this may include but is not limited to, helping other departments.
- Ability to evaluate and adapt to new processing methods, must meet or exceed established production goals, and/or modify technique/procedures.
- Shows self-motivation/innovation and the ability to work well with all staff members, vendors, customers, as well as to work well independently.
- Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately while not overstepping chain of command.
- Communicates, interacts, and works effectively with others; receptive to feedback and coaching; voices concern in a constructive manner
- Follow all safety protocols and policies. Demonstrates commitment to safety first; communicates safety concerns; promotes a safe work environment based on established safety standards and training
- Work scheduled shifts and show up on time and ready to work; record all time worked accurately, promptly, and honestly
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, lifting, walking, standing, some bending/crouching, stooping, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 25 pounds (50 pounds with assistance)
- Work is generally performed in a fast-paced cannabis location

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 3+ years of packaging and assembly experience desired
- Self-driven and motivated to work
- Keen eye for detail and motivated to exceed quality and delivery goals
- Have a strong team ethic
- Have excellent verbal communication skills
- Quickly learn and perform in a fast-paced role
