Northrop Grumman is seeking a Flight Test Instrumentation Integration Engineer to join the Aerospace Systems Sector. The qualified candidate will become part of the Northrop Grumman's Systems Integration, Test, and Evaluation (SIT&E) team. The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or software areas. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The selected candidate will be able to design sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the wire harness & cable fabrication, including tools and equipment that affect product performance. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of wire harness/cable fabrication tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Typical Minimum Education / Experience:
- 5 Years with B.S. in STEM; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
- Requires an Active Secret Clearance; with the ability to get Program Access to start SOW
- Experience construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems with no supervision.
- Comfortable working from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions to build/install components on vehicles.
- Experience operating related equipment; conducting tests and reporting data in prescribed format.
- Experienced in performing calibration and alignment checks; making adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Must be available for flexible working shifts necessary.
