Ajilon is recruiting a Mailroom Clerk for our client – a leading insurance company. This is Fulltime , Onsite , contract (indefinite length) position with a max pay of $18 per hour .
The primary responsibility of the Mailroom Clerk is to process all incoming mail and packages received. This includes sorting, delivering, and scanning documents and packages. In addition, you will prepare outgoing mail and packages, communicating with vendors, pulling files, performing data entry, and ordering supplies as needed.
Responsibilities
- Sort, scan, and deliver incoming mail and packages.
- Ensure timely delivery of policies, accounting notices, premium audit notices, invoices, payments, send back letters, and various mail projects.
- Work with internal teams to ensure all data is entered into the various systems and alert internal teams of returned mail.
- Collect and prepare outgoing mail for postal services, create FedEx labels and packages, and ensure timely delivery to basement or external vendor pickups.
- Operate and maintain mailroom equipment – printers, scanners, postage, folding and stuffing, scale, etc.
Qualifications
· H.S. Diploma or equivalent (GED)
· 3 or more months of relevant experience or training (required)
· Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations in all units of measures, rates, ratios, and percentages.
· Strong knowledge of office operations, workflow analysis, and technologies used for telecommunications, data entry, and file management.
· Proficient with MS Office and ability to quickly learn new master proprietary and vendor software applications.
Compensation
· $18 per hour (max)
