Job Purpose:
We are searching for quality, experienced dispatchers to join our growing team! This position requires punctuality, experience, communication, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills in order to ensure our customers continue to receive the very best service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of communication with managers, office staff, airlines, and drivers
- Prioritize and assign shipments to drivers in a coordinated schedule that maximizes routes, loads, and time
- Continually check WMS for updates on pending and new shipments
- Assist drivers with any issues along routes, including at the airport
- Create and hand off all necessary documentation for each shipment to the appropriate personnel
- Verify accuracy of shipments
- Complete monthly safety meetings with drivers
- Reserve and assign containers for daily logs
- Complete inventory and tag and log containers
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook
- Experience with and knowledge of temperature-controlled shipments
- Experience working in a dispatch position
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma
- Two years in a dispatch position preferred
- One year in a warehouse environment preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Sit/stand for prolonged amounts of time
